A passion for weaving narratives, sown early and nurtured relentlessly, has blossomed into a full-fledged career as a scriptwriter. This journey, however, wasn’t paved with conventional expectations. In a childhood where artistic pursuits were often discouraged, my parents recognized and nurtured the spark of creativity flickering within me.
My first scribbles, inked at the tender age of seven, were inspired by the intriguing “physic” of my father’s friend, Peter. This story, a testament to the power of storytelling to shape even young minds, marked the beginning of an odyssey into the captivating realm of scripts.
Driven by a deep commitment to my community and fellow creatives, I served as the Treasurer of the Kenya Scriptwriter’s Guild (2019-2020). This role, entrusted to me by the talented members I proudly call colleagues, was a responsibility I embraced with unwavering dedication. The fruits of my dedication and talent have been borne out on prestigious stages, with my scripts winning accolades at the Kenya National Drama and Film Festival.
My scripts have graced the screens of popular television shows and films like Ms. President sn 1 (KTN), Cozen, Not Quite, Thee Voice, and The Wall, among others. Each project has been a unique learning experience, honing my craft and solidifying my position in the dynamic landscape of Kenyan film and television.
“Writing is rewriting,” a motto instilled by my esteemed mentor, Cajetan Boy, continues to guide my creative process. Every draft is an opportunity to refine, to polish, to imbue my narratives with greater depth and resonance. This unwavering commitment to excellence has been the driving force behind my journey, and it remains the compass that steers me towards ever-more captivating stories.
